Reporting Types
The system exposes reporting functionality in the following ways:
- As system default reports. These are the most commonly used, pre-defined reports.
- As ad hoc reporting. This allows users to create their own custom reports based on
any LMS data field.
- Reporting dashboards that users can select based upon the data they need most.
- Individual user transcripts.
System Default Reports
Users with report access can run any of the default reports in real-time. Users can make adjustments to the filter settings for any of these reports as well as save filter settings for later use. Once a report has been run, users can search the report results, export the results, page through the results online, or adjust the filters and re-run the report.

Ad hoc reporting provides the ability to create custom reports and save the report for
future use. This type of reporting is intended to create sophisticated, actionable
information without requiring an understanding of underlying data structures.
- Ad hoc reporting utilizes an easy-to-use wizard interface.
- All key data in the system is reportable.
- Reports can be generated per domain.
- Report filters can be modified by any user with report access.
- Sort order of individual fields can be modified by any user with report access.
Individual Transcripts
Individual transcripts leverage the default system reports infrastructure to deliver
reporting information to student. The information is targeted and highly relevant to
an individuals learning goals.
Report Formatting
Report formatting features are designed to create page-oriented reports in multiple
formats with the ability to print documents in a simple and flexible manner. Users
can toggle the size of their view to see data in a compact or expanded view. The
systems formatting support includes the ability to deliver rich content to the desktop
screen, to the printer or into PDF, HTML, MS-Excel, .csv or XML files.
Dashboard Reporting
The system makes use of dynamic graphical dashboards and the live transactional
