Widgets
Widgets are small windows embedded on a page that can contain information, tools or graphics. They enable a LMS customer to communicate, market and deliver learning content to an identified audience. Widgets can be made available to a specific audience based upon group or by a specific user attribute. Examples of widgets include learner's courses, learning plans, links to resources, flash banners, RSS feeds, surveys, embedded videos and industry news.
Navigation
With the GeoMaestro LMS there is no reason for learners to view functionality that they don't need or won't use. Administrators can move or remove any standard LMS item included in the LMS domain to streamline the platform based on learner needs.
In addition, administrators can easily add their own navigation pages through a WYSIWYG (what-you-see-is-what-you-get) editor or through an advanced HTML editor. Customer-created pages can then be made available to a specific audience based upon group or by a specific user attribute.
Themes
Customers can create an unlimited number of themes (design layouts) based on templates provided in the LMS. Various colors can be selected in combination with uploading the customer's own logo to match branding and communication standards. Multiple themes can be used within the same domain and applied to specific groups of users (i.e. a unique look-and-feel by department, region, division, etc.).
Permissions
Using GeoMaestro, LMS administrators can create any number of roles that specify what a learner has permission to access within the LMS. Each role can be configured with view-only or manage permission for most LMS modules. This creates a completely unique learning experience. Editing a role is quick and intuitive. Administrators simply check a box to grant a particular permission or remove a check to restrict permission based on changing business needs.
