GeoMaestro enables managers and employees to develop Learning Plans, add individual learning tasks, assign due dates and provide advance reminders via e-mail. Tasks and events may include any number of online courses, instructor-led classes, tests, assignments, surveys and even informal learning events and the use of physical media that can be tracked via the LMS, thereby supporting a fully blended approach to learning and development. Even informal learning events can be made "trackable" by creating a User Defined Task (UDT). This flexibility enables on-the-job-training and other informal learning events to be treated as a component of a Learning Plan just as any other formal learning activity.

A group of related tasks and events form a Learning Plan or curriculum. GeoMaestro allows Learning Plans to be automatically assigned to your users based on group or custom attribute, and also allows administrators to choose the completion requirements and recurrence triggers if necessary. System administrators and managers can generate reports on individual employees or groups of employees to track attained certifications, re-certification deadlines and regulatory compliance.
